Solids, Liquids and Gases
Wednesday 20th February
Today we were investigating Which liquid is the fastest.
We made a slope using a whiteboard and timed different liquids going down the same distance of slope.
The liquids we used were water, milk, olive oil, honey, ketchup, conditioner, shampoo and liquid soap.
Each table had to test 2 liquids and record their times.
We found out that water was the fastest with a time of 00:00:19 and honey was the slowest with a time of 2:20:18. This is because honey is more viscous than water!
What order do you think the liquids came in?

Your viscosity experiment sounds great fun (I hope you didn’t get bored waiting for the honey)!
I’m going to guess the order of the other liquids (fastest first):
milk, olive oil, soap, shampoo, conditioner, ketchup.
How did I do?
